Ling-Ling's: Bali Nights and Culinary Delights
Ling-Ling's in Bali is an absolute must-try!.this place is swirling around in my head like a delicious dream. Seriously, the food – divine. Like, best meal of the whole trip divine. And the whole vibe? Super cute, all open-air and tropical…I remember these bright pink bougainvillea flowers practically exploding everywhere.
The music was this chill, kinda jazzy stuff, just loud enough to feel lively but not drown out conversation. And the staff? Angels. Seriously. Ayu was our server, and she was fabulous – so friendly and helpful. I kept forgetting what half the stuff on the menu was called (too busy gawking at the sunset, I guess), but she patiently explained everything. Another server, Ratna, I think, was amazing with the kids at the next table. They were building some crazy tower out of sugar packets, and she was totally in on it. Lifesaver for their parents, honestly. Even the bartender, Edi – I remember he had this crazy pineapple tattoo – was super chill.
I ordered…something…I think it was grilled satay, but honestly, I didn’t even bother to ask. It smelled amazing, all smoky and sweet. My friend got the Japanese pork ribs, but she said they were a little too sweet for her taste. Maybe the whole menu leans sweet? Not sure. The non-smoking section, where we were, got a little loud at times – bunch of people celebrating something – but overall, it was a really good vibe. Oh, and the drinks! Ice-cold and refreshing…essential in that Bali heat. The pool was sparkling like it was showing off for Instagram.
The whole place felt kinda fancy but still relaxed. Not stuffy fancy, but like…you know, you could wear a nice sundress and not feel out of place. I can’t remember exactly what all we ate, but I know it was all amazing. I definitely need to go back and actually pay attention to the menu next time…and maybe get Ayu's number. Just kidding…unless?
