Livingstone: Seminyak's Sanctuary of Sweet Surrender
After a chaotic day navigating the bustling streets of Seminyak, I found myself seeking refuge in Livingstone.Stepping inside felt like that first sip of iced tea on a scorching day – instant relief. Plus, they’ve got parking, which is like finding a unicorn in this town. Score.
Everyone’s obsessed with the food. Not just “yeah, it’s good” obsessed, but like, “I’m-coming-back-tomorrow” obsessed. Huge portions, super affordable. Someone raved about this chicken chipotle salad that’s suddenly making my stomach rumble. Oh, and something called a Baileys Irish…thing? Is it a drink? A dessert? A drinkable dessert? The mystery is killing me.
But the cakes. Apparently, they’re legendary. I mean, one person claimed their Baileys mousse cake was one of the best they ever had. If I’m going that route, I’ll probably need one of those “antioxidant juices” and a croissant to, you know, balance things out. Like that other person suggested. Healthy indulgence, or something.
The whole place just sounds…chilled. Like you could sink into a comfy chair and lose track of time. Coffee, cake, good conversation – the works. And everyone’s saying the staff is amazing. Super friendly, helpful. I even read this story about Nopi (I think that was her name?) arranging a Gojek delivery for a cake to someone's hotel! How sweet is that?
The only question is, is it more cafe-ish or restaurant-y? Quick bite or long, leisurely meal? Guess I’ll have to see for myself…
