Prices come in higher than other airport options and several guests point out it’s “on the higher side” for food and drinks – but many also say portions are generous and the vibe makes it feel like more than just a quick pit stop.
Food, from English breakfast to salmon
Expect the usual Hard Rock line‑up: burgers called out as juicy, eggs benedict someone “personally loved”, an English breakfast that one diner found only “ok” but “probably as good as it gets in Bali”, and even grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies praised for flavour and presentation.
Service can be fast – multiple reviewers mention food arriving quickly, handy if you’re squeezing in a meal before boarding. A few experiences were poor, though, including a raw chicken sandwich and a cold appetizer that never got properly fixed, with that guest saying they wouldn’t recommend dining here.
Drinks, bar vibes and smoking terrace
Beer is a recurring theme, especially Bintang for a final Bali toast; one guest was disappointed Kura Kura beer was unavailable. There are free “farewell drinks” for some Hard Rock Hotel guests, and others linger with cocktails or coffee at the bar.
Smokers note an upstairs open‑air area that doubles as a smoking spot and a vantage point for city and runway views. Several people happily used the bar as a two‑hour waiting room, calling it “a great place to wait for your ✈️.”
Standout staff and a few stumbles
Reviews repeatedly spotlight individual staff: names like Amy, Heri, Sari, Yudha, Windi, Ode, Bobo, Dinda, Dek Win and many more appear with praise for warmth, humour and careful time‑keeping so guests don’t miss flights.
One diner had a menu mix‑up with baked beans; management admitted the printed menu was out of date and waived the bill, which they saw as extremely professional. By contrast, a couple of guests report inattentive service at the bar, wrong items (fries instead of onion rings), difficulty getting the bill and staff chatting instead of serving.
Rock Shop and runway souvenirs
The Rock Shop beside the cafe doubles the experience: travellers mention a 15% discount on clothing with dining, plus occasional “buy 1 get 1 free” promos. Staff in the shop, including Diana, Ochi, Yossi and Putra, are described as patient, friendly and helpful with promotions and sizing.
