Nusa Penida

Dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, incredible diving.

Nusa Penida is a separate island reachable in 45 minutes by fast boat from Sanur Harbor. The dramatic limestone cliffs, crystal-clear water, and manta ray sightings at Manta Point make it the most visually striking day trip from Bali. Infrastructure is basic — roads are rough and partially unpaved, accommodation outside the north coast is limited, and scooter rental is the only practical transport option on the island. Budget a full day at minimum; rushed day trips from Bali leave little time for the long drives between sites.
