Klungkung (also called Semarapura) is East Bali's regency capital and historical seat of the last Balinese kingdom. The Kertha Gosa pavilion (Hall of Justice) within the palace compound features detailed ceiling paintings depicting Balinese law and cosmology — one of the finest examples of traditional Kamasan painting on the island.
