Practical Entry and Fees
Entrance is usually 20,000 IDR per person, with 2–5k IDR for parking or motorbike storage. Several visitors noted side paths where no one collects payment, though most called the fee a “donation for upkeep.” Bring cash; there's no ticket office. Those arriving on foot from Sanur along the beach boardwalk found it straightforward.
Atmosphere and Hazards
Many called it magical and empty; others encountered construction, debris clearing or airsoft games that changed the mood. Mosquitoes are relentless—spray was mentioned in nearly every review. Closed shoes are essential, and a torch helps in dark interiors. Dogs, bats, broken glass and uneven floors make slow, mindful walking sensible.
Access and Departure
It’s possible to cycle in or walk from nearby coastal areas. Riders reported difficulty calling Gojek or Grab without a paid internet connection, leading some to hire a driver who waited. Daylight is best for photography; heat and humidity build quickly.

Artists have embraced the crumbling architecture, blending installations with existing graffiti. Visitors who saw Jiā Curated praised it as one of Bali’s standout art uses of neglected space. Redevelopment seems possible; surveys and vegetation clearing were seen by some.
