Bali’s Glass Bridge Over Petanu Gorge

Spanning the Petanu River gorge between Kemenuh and Saba, the Bali Glass Bridge has been drawing visitors since its November 2022 opening. Nearly 188–199 meters long and around 66 meters high, its clear panels offer vertiginous views toward the jungle canopy and Tegenungan Waterfall. The west entrance sits on Jl. Ir. Sutami No.6, Kemenuh; the east on Jl. Raya Blangsinga.

Hours reported range from 07:00–18:00 to 08:00–19:00 — confirm locally before heading out. Tickets are sold in tiers: locals often pay Rp 100,000, domestic visitors Rp 150,000, and foreigners between Rp 200,000–250,000. Entry usually covers one ride each on the rainbow slide or swing as well as the walk itself.

The narrow, 2.2‑meter deck is reinforced underfoot, with shoe covers given to protect the glass. Some panels carry a simulated “crack” effect that doesn’t trigger every time. At either end, expect a butterfly swing, the slide, and small snack stops — one regular calls it “more like a warung” with juices that aren’t always available.

This is steps from the viewpoint of Tegenungan Waterfall; some cross the bridge, descend to the falls’ base, and finish at Sukawati Art Market. Large vehicles tend to access from the Kemenuh (west) gate. Allow 30–90 minutes if adding the swings and slides.

Safety measures are visible and the capacity is capped around 500 at once. Fear of heights is real here; jelly‑leg moments are common, and the sound effect of breaking glass can unsettle. On wet days, views mist over, and mid‑day heat lingers despite the breeze off the gorge.
