Food is repeatedly called “fantastic” and “some of the best we’ve had in Bali”, from à la carte breakfast with healthy juices, watermelon juice and açaí bowls to satay evenings and 7‑course romantic dinners. Many guests upgrade to floating breakfasts in their private pools and rave about abundance and presentation.
Complimentary afternoon tea with snacks is appreciated, and several couples highlight private candlelight dinners at the Sky Hut or in their villa as honeymoon high points.

Guests mention staff by name (including reception, breakfast teams, spa therapists and drivers like Putra and Degus) and praise how quickly requests are handled, from allergy-aware meals to airport pickups and last‑minute clinic visits.
A few note that staff can feel “too attentive” at breakfast, with repeated check-ins, but most describe it as genuinely warm, discreet and thoughtful, with turn‑down service and rose-petal or anniversary setups.

Location, shuttles and who it suits
Set about 3 km from central Ubud, the resort’s calm comes with distance: walking into town isn’t practical for most, especially with children. A free shuttle runs roughly every hour to Ubud centre and back, and some guests also rely on Grab, scooters or full‑day drivers booked through the hotel.
Families enjoy the villas but mention limited kid-focused facilities and open showers; couples and honeymooners, on the other hand, tend to call the stay “a dream” and “fairytale‑like”.
