Set on Lovina Beach at Jl. Raya Kalibukbuk Lovina Beach, Singaraja, this resort leans into North Bali’s slower pace. The setting is one of its clearest strengths: black sand underfoot, Bali Sea views from the open-air restaurant, and easy access for sunrise dolphin-watching boat trips.
Several reviewers liked the beachfront position for sunset walks and the line of local boats offshore. One guest also noted it was easy to walk along the beach to nearby restaurants and drinks options, while another felt dining nearby was limited.
Rooms and cottages
Accommodation ranges from relaxed rooms with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minifridges, and balconies or terraces to cottages with thatched roofs, canopy beds, open-air showers, and tea and coffeemakers. Room service is available, and breakfast is complimentary.
Guest opinion is mixed. Some found superior rooms and cabin-style stays spacious, clean, and comfortable, with working AC and good bathrooms. Others described darker interiors, dated villas, confusing safes, uncomfortable beds, and signs of wear including stains, mould, or cobwebs.
Pool, spa, and beach access
The outdoor pool, snack bar, spa, playground, and direct beach access give the property a full resort feel. One reviewer praised the very warm pool water and said it stayed open until 8 pm; others liked the swim-up bar, ocean views, and buggy rides across the large grounds.
That said, the pool area split opinion. While some called it amazing and well-maintained, others mentioned loud music from the bar, mouldy loungers, and poorly kept sanitary facilities nearby.
Food and service
Breakfast is included, and one guest mentioned three breakfast packages. The restaurant’s big draw is its sea view, but the food itself drew a more uneven response: some found the restaurant disappointing, and one compared the atmosphere unfavourably to a station dining hall.
Staff, though, are mentioned warmly again and again. Reviews describe employees as kind, sweet, exceptionally helpful, and quick to respond, with praise for spa and restaurant teams in particular.
Trips and trade-offs
The resort is 10 km from Gedong Kirtya library and 12 km from Air Panas Banjar, which makes it a reasonable base for North Bali sightseeing. Traditional Balinese dance classes and dolphin-watching boat trips are part of the on-site offering.
Still, one reviewer strongly advised against booking dolphin excursions through the resort, citing higher charges and a less flexible experience than a neighbouring operator. Aneka Lovina Villas & Spa will suit travellers who care most about beachfront access, a big pool, and a laid-back Lovina base, and who do not mind that some rooms and facilities may need updating.
