Bedugul sits at 1,200 meters in Bali's central highlands — noticeably cooler than the coast, with average temperatures of 15–22°C and frequent afternoon mist. Danau Beratan with its water temple Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is one of the island's most photographed sites. The area is typically included in North Bali day trip circuits from the south, paired with Lovina or Singaraja. A local produce market sells strawberries, passion fruit, and fresh vegetables grown in the cool highland climate.
