On the road toward Jember, Banyuwangi Park gathers rides, pools, and indoor exhibits into one 8.48-hectare site in Dusun Krajan, Dadapan, Kabat. The official line calls it a learning and recreation park, and that mix matters: this is as much about local stories and school-group appeal as it is about splashing about.

From Banyuwangi town square, it is commonly cited as around 8 km / 17 minutes; from Banyuwangi Airport (BWX), around 12 km / 25 minutes. For most travellers, that makes it a straightforward half-day stop rather than a major expedition.

Culture before coaster

What gives the place its own shape is the Banyuwangi content woven through the indoor zones. The Foyer introduces Sri Tanjung–Sidopekso, alongside festival dioramas such as Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival and Tour de Ijen, while Banyuwangi Dahsyat and the Science Center cover local history, traditions, tourism highlights, and Osing culture.

That means a visit can shift quickly from a regional primer to family entertainment. If you want a pure thrill park, this may feel lighter than expected; if you are travelling with children or a school-age crowd, the balance is likely to work better.

Pools, rides, and mixed ages

The line-up is broad rather than extreme: Fun Jet, Rockin Tug, Bumper Car, Spinning Coaster, Swinger, Carousel, and ATV sit alongside the water area. In the pools, there is Kolam Arus, Kolam Ombak, Kolam Anak-Anak, Kolam Olympic, and Water Futsal.

Family extras include Cinema 4D, Softplay, Trampolin, Taman Lalu Lintas, Rumah Kaca, and a haunted house. One recurring visitor note highlights the wave pool, with stronger waves said to run on an hourly cycle for around 15 minutes.

Hours, tickets, and fine print

The most consistent current schedule is 09:00–17:00, with Friday closed. Some older sources mention 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, so checking the official website or +62 813-3335-8088 before setting out is sensible.

Pricing is less settled. Sources cite Rp70,000 as a normal rate, while a later reference lists Regular ticket: Rp30,000 and Full-access / terusan ticket: Rp50,000; children under 85 cm enter free. Official terms also say online purchases should be made at least 1 day before arrival, with no refunds and dates generally not changeable.

Heat, queues, and practical comfort

Several recurring comments point to a real midday heat issue in the outdoor sections, and some visitors mention queues at the ticket counter. Reports also suggest that not every ride is always included in every ticket package, while signage appears mainly in Indonesian.

Facilities are practical for a family stop: food court, toilets and shower rooms, locker / swim gear rental, float / tube rental, e-bike rental, and on-site security. One rule worth knowing in advance: outside food and drinks are not allowed.

Who it suits best

This is best for families with children, school groups, and travellers who want something easy between bigger Banyuwangi outings, especially on a weekday and earlier in the day. Expect a local, mixed-use park with solid variety rather than a polished international theme-park experience.
